Our portfolio company Coherence Neuro raised a $45M Series A led by Founders Fund and OpenAI, with participation from Lux and 8VC.
Coherence is developing the world's first closed loop neuromodulation system to treat brain cancer. Coherence's device is implanted in the brain during routine brain tumor removal surgery. The device then monitors the tumor removal site and uses electrical stimulation to kill any tumor regrowth. Coherence imagines a future where this technology could be applied to all cancers, significantly improving outcomes for patients.
We first backed Coherence in 2024, doubled down in their 2025 seed round, and tripled down again in the Series A.
